Dupuis announced on Friday that Fournier has been made a knight (chevalier) of the Order of Arts and Letters (Ordre des Arts et des Lettres).
This honor is granted by the French minister of culture for significant contributions to the arts or literature. Although it had been known since August that he had been named to the order, Fournier only officially received the insignia at the opening of the Festival Quai des Bulles last week.
