Today is the 57th anniversary of Gaston’s first appearance (which I guess is meaningful because that was in 1957), and a certain web company has decorated its logo for the occasion, at least on the French, Belgian and Swiss versions of the site. It doesn’t seem to be interactive or anything, but still, pretty cool!
Even Google has Gaston on the front page!
It seems to be on the French, Belgian, Swiss, Dutch, Danish and Norwegian versions of the site. It’s not on the German, Swedish or Finnish sites, or any other European versions I tried (or the US or Canada ones, unsurprisingly). I wonder how Google decides where it should be used: maybe it’s just whether someone from the local Google office is a fan?
