This drawing by René Follet, a veteran of the industry and of the magazine (his first published contribution was in 1949!), was published in the Galerie des illustres in the 2009 Christmas issue of the Journal (#3739). While not explicitly Christmas-themed, to my mind it really captures the feeling.

I grew up reading Spirou in Scandinavian translations. Now I'm learning French and trying to decode the originals.
