Here’s the second part of the photo report from the Spirou exhibition at the Belgian Comic Strip Center (CBBD), Spirou passed from hand to hand. The first part covered Rob-Vel, Davine and Jijé. Today we have Franquin, Fournier, Nic & Cauvin and finally Chaland.
Franquin occupies the main aisle of the exhibition:
For the section of the exhibition covering the period after Franquin, my photo records aren’t as complete, so you’ll have to do without closeups of most of the later artists’ original pages.
In the next part of the report we’ll look at the modern Spirou teams, as well as possible future one-shots.
