Anyway, let’s get it over with! If you’re keen to see Zorglub or Gaston in English, the original pages from Tome & Janry’s albums, or the latest one-shots in just about every language the series is published in, there’s good news… Continue reading »

'Porträtt av hjälten som oskuldsfull ung man', Swedish edition of 'Journal d'un ingénu (ill. Bravo; (c) Cobolt, Dupuis and the artist; image from serieforum.se)

Cobolt, which publishes the Spirou albums in Denmark, recently announced that they are expanding to Sweden and would publish the collected edition of Valerian & Laureline (“Linda och Valentin” in Swedish) there. Spirou 53 cover SE (ill. Yoann & Vehlmann; (c) Egmont)Dans les griffes de la Vipère (Spirou #53, “In the Clutches of the Viper”) is released today in Sweden under the title Spirou: I Vipers Klor, available in bookstores and on newsstands (source). It’s number 52 in the Swedish album order, and was previously reviewed here.

With this publication, the album is now (to my knowledge) available in 7 languages: French, Dutch, Finnish, German, Danish, Norwegian and Swedish. Not too shabby! As for English… don’t hold your breath.
