Hotel Schweizerhof Luzern poster for Fumetto: International Comix-Festival Lucerne 2013,by Emmanuel ‘Exem’ Excoffier

Exem (Emmanuel Excoffier) is a Swiss artist in the ligne claire style, most active in poster work. For Fumetto, the International Comix-Festival Lucerne 2013, he was artist in residence, working in public in the Hotel Schweizerhof Luzern, for which he created this promotional poster. (The artist dropping his pages in the foreground is a self-portrait. Pictures from the event here.)

Munuera has been posting some image from the work on his upcoming one-shot, La Fille de Zorglub (“Zorglub’s Daughter”) to Facebook, including this half-page:

Inktober is a drawing challenge where artists try to make one ink drawing a day throughout October, following some general prompt. This year’s prompt for Day 27 was “creepy”, though I have to say I don’t really see it (probably some artists just ignore the prompts and draw whatever they like):

Zantafio on the run after the overthrow of his dictatorship, by Gerben Valkema (2016)

Gerben Valkema draws a series called Elsje, among other things, and his Spirou fanart has been featured here before. Here’s a picture depicting the aftermath of Franquin’s The Dictator and the Mushroom (Spirou & Fantasio #7), that could almost be a lost panel from the album.

Spirou et Cie. ("Spirou & Co."; ill. unknown; Copyright (c) the artist; Spirou (c) Dupuis; image from mysterycomics-rdb.blogspot.com?)

Spirou et Cie (“Spirou & Co.”), by unknown artist

I always try to link back to the artist or source for any fanart image posted on Spirou Reporter, but it’s not always so easy. This one has been sitting in a folder on my computer for who knows how long, and seems to have vanished without trace from the Internet during that time. The filename indicates that the title is Spirou et Cie and that it comes from the Mystery Comics blog (where it’s no longer to be found), but that’s all I know. I can’t read the artist’s signature, either (“Roosa”?). Perhaps some of you may know?

Spirou and Spip in front of the Gran Casino del Sardinero, by Neryko (2015)

Another piece of fanart from last year’s series of Spanish exhibitions. This one by Neryko is from Spirou, un botones en el palacio (“Spirou: A Bellhop in the Palace”), held last November–December in Santander, and shows the city’s great casino in the background.
